There's something holding me together
2020
plant-dyed yarn woven around found wooden frame
This piece is my most recent step, deeper into my practice of creating pieces that embody particular feelings, with the intention of being tangible prayers. I offered it to my Instagram community, for anyone that might need the prayer of being held together. A new friend recommended I send it to her friend in Ukraine who had a head injury. That friend wanted me to send it to as a surprise to someone undergoing chemo in Canada. Hopefully, it imbues the viewer with the faith that something invisible is, indeed, holding them together.

do you see where I'm tied to the sky?
